The dynamics and changes of agricultural systems world-wide are, among others, driven by global environmental change, liberalisation of trade and market changes. Agrifood systems are characterized by multiple interactions between the agricultural production process, its resource use, environmental consequences and management choices. Changes in drivers and their impact on interactions require integrated, multi- (scale and organizational) level analyses. Integrated assessment and modelling tools are developed to support such analyses. The project will tackle the challenges posed by various complex projects of MTTÂ?s research programme. That is, conceptualiziation and development, evaluation, application and research capacity building related to problem-oriented integrated modelling frameworks.
